In Places, Empty Spaces

Things I Don’t Get: Why Chicago prides itself as The Windy City… There’s nothing pleasant about gruelingly long cold gusts of wind hitting your face.  I mean I’m from North Carolina and we don’t pride ourselves over Petey Pablo and his retarded song about us; why should Chicago pride itself over such a terrible feature. In fact, it is my opinion that Chicago would be a much better place without the wind.. but that’s just me.  But I guess Chicago and its founders may have decided to call it that just because it was what it was and it later become a marketing ploy to bring something positive out of something that is considered bad.  but who really knows… That’s just my take….

Actually… it’s worse than that.
Chicago is referred to the “Windy City” not because of the weather, but because of thick-headed, corrupted, long-winded politicians.  But it’s a beautiful city and worth braving the cold for.

Fact. Insane, right?
